Strengthening Food Systems in Fragile Contexts

In fragile contexts, hunger, conflict, and climate shocks are closely intertwined. The Sufosec Alliance addresses these challenges through the Triple Nexus approach, which links humanitarian aid, long-term development, and peacebuilding.

Based on field experience, including a flagship project in Chad, this approach offers clear advantages: it strengthens local food systems, improves crisis resilience, and helps manage conflict dynamics. Flexibility and continuous learning are crucial for adapting interventions to rapidly changing environments.

The result: more coherent, locally rooted programs that go beyond short-term emergency aid and support communities in building sustainable food security under fragile conditions.
