What is the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”?
On September 25, 2015, the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” was adopted at a UN summit in New York. It takes the form of a global treaty on the future and contains 17 development goals with a total of 169 sub-goals (“Sustainable Development Goals”, SDGs). The 2030 Agenda is the first international agreement to link the principle of sustainability with poverty reduction and economic, ecological and social development.
